Emirates Golf Club, host of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, was thefirst all grass championship golf course in the Middle East when it opened in 1988.Taking pride in its 36 holes of world class golf, the club sports two of the city’s finest must-play courses,the Majlis and the Faldo. In 2010 the Faldo course became the only 18 hole course in the region to offera night golf experience. Both courses feature natural rolling desert terrain for a serious golfing test, whilethe recently refurbished signature clubhouse, remains the most eye-catching in the region.Emirates Golf Club also offers a challenging Par 3 course and renowned Golf Academy run in associationwith Peter Cowen, one of the world’s most respected golf instructors. Both Emirates Golf Club and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club offer award winning GolfAcademies run by PGA qualified golf professionals with tuition and programmes availablefor beginners and experienced players of all ages. Lessons are available on both a groupand individual basis.Learn the basics of golf in just five days, view your swing alongside your favourite playerusing the very latest in digital swing technology, take a dedicated putting lesson or testyour skills around the floodlit 9 hole Par 3 courses. Alternatively, spend time fine tuningyour short game skills on the driving range and dedicated chipping and bunker greens, allwhile enjoying the friendly atmosphere of our Golf Academies.
Golf Handicap Requirements
Please note that in order to play on thechampionship courses a minimum handicapstandard applies and handicap certificatesmust be produced upon request. The minimumhandicap requirements are as follows:
Men: 28
Women: 36
No handicap restrictions apply for the Par 3course or for Golf Academy lessons.
Equipment Hire
If you are just visiting Dubai and do not haveyour golf clubs with you then Dubai Golf hasrental clubs available so that you do not missout on the opportunity to play golf in Dubai. Ifyou are taking lessons with us then equipmentwill be provided free of charge for the durationof your lesson. In addition we also offer rentalgolf shoes and our Pro Shops stock a full rangeof golf clothing and accessories.
Other Terms and Conditions of Play
- Tee times are based on 10 minute intervals, with four players maximum per tee time
- Players are requested to check in at least half an hour before their tee time
- Players must adhere to the dress code. Golf shoes with soft spikes or flat soled training shoes areallowed on the course
- For safety reasons, non-playing guests and children are not permitted to accompany players
